Gelli Printing Workshop At WFAC

(3.30) Gelli printing is a unique printmaking process made by applying paint or printing ink to a flat sheet of metal, glass or plastic. Head over to the WaterFire Arts Center this Saturday for a free Gelli Printing Workshop, recommended for ages 6 and older.

This is a beginners workshop on Gelli Printing where participants will learn how to make one-off monotype prints with gelatin plates. Our instructor, Sky Tanner, will guide participants through the process and then allow individuals to create monotype prints at their own pace. This process is easy and simple to learn for any age group or skill level.

Participants will leave the workshop with 2-5 prints that they created. The event is free but space is limited so register here.

Visitors of all ages are invited to ignite their creativity through these family-friendly weekend workshops. In fact, a second all-ages workshop — Resin Jewelry and Accessories — takes place later in the afternoon, also free.

Note: Many interesting events held at the WFAC sell out early, before we even get to writing them up. Keep checking their events calendar so you don’t miss out.

As always, plenty of parking.

Free, 11am to 1pm, Saturday, March 30, WFAC, 475 Valley Street, (directions)
