(10.8) Once a year talented RISD alumni and students close off Benefit Street between Waterman and Hopkins, and set up shop. RISD Craft is many cuts above the average craft fair, as it should be, these people went to RISD. So get down there, buy something unique and fabulous, and help these artists pay off their student loans. Win-win.
RISD Craft features handmade fine art and design work by over 130 artists. The work on view speaks to the quality, attention to detail, and mastery of craftsmanship students and alumni hone at RISD and bring to their own practices in a wide variety of media. Viewers have an opportunity to engage with makers while finding unique gifts and one-of-a-kind items at the sale.
Look for: apparel, ceramics, glass, prints, fine art, jewelry, textiles, home goods, illustrated books, photography, paper, and more. Be sure to cast your vote for your favorite artist to make them eligible for the People’s Choice Award. Follow on FB event.
