Celebrate the return of the Music Mansion’s chamber music series First Fridays with a night of local music. This Friday features Michael DeQuattro, percussion chair at Rhode Island College, accompanist and composer for Roger Williams University, and currently drumming with the Jesse Liam Band. (Facebook event page.)
A virtuosic and entertaining performer, Michael DeQuattro’s compositions range from blistering hand drum solos to grooving jazz fusion tunes, improvisational explorations and through-composed works mixing acoustic instruments and electronics.
DeQuattro will be joined by James Bohn, James Moses, Jacob Richman, and composer-in-residence Kirsten Volness (aka Kirvo). This charming venue has the added benefit of being a fallout shelter, in case . . . you know.
$10 suggested donation, 8pm to 10pm, Friday, October 6, The Music Mansion, 88 Meeting Street, (directions)
