We Are A Nation Of Laws

And no man is above the law. In defining executive powers, Article II, Section 3, of the U.S. Constitution states that the President “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed . . .” And yet, America is currently under attack from a hostile foreign government and our president refuses to execute the law, or to respond in any way.

Last month, Putin’s useful idiot announced that he was refusing to implement the Russian sanctions bill overwhelmingly passed by congress last July (Politico 1.29.18).

The sanctions bill requires the imposition of penalties by Monday against entities doing “significant” business with Moscow’s defense and intelligence sectors, unless Congress is notified that prospective targets are “substantially reducing” that business.

And yet, instead of executing the law, the president will be taking the day off for a round of golf, adjusting his lies on every hole.

Look, I really hope there is a pee tape, but the history of the Trump family business, and the known facts of the case, just scream money laundering. The Russians clearly have some potent kompromat on this guy and our president is putting self-preservation above the sanctity of our elections and the good of the country.

A “No President is Above the Law” rally* is planned for noon, Saturday, February 24, at the State House.

*I am concerned about the potential for rally fatigue — the sight of diminishing crowd sizes could be used against us. Let’s pace ourselves. The possibility of a Mueller firing hovers over all and will require immediate, massive mobilization. Get your affairs in order.
