Peregrine Update

They must be eating something — look how much weight they’ve put on. Plus, there is other evidence. But I have yet to catch a feeding.

Recently Peter Green of Providence Raptors and the Audubon Society were alerted that the image had gone dark, and up they went to fix the webcam. So if you happened to try viewing the box last week and saw nothing, the camera was out. These things happen. Try again, because when they aren’t sleeping, these clumsy toddlers are stretching their oversized wings, waddling about, and falling on top of each other. (But be warned — there will be blood.)

Scrabble Word of the Day: EYAS, defined as a young hawk or falcon.

I watched a feeding yesterday. Whatever the meal was seemed pretty large at first and there was nothing left by the end. Pretty impressive how mama makes sure everybody gets their fair share.
