What Cheer Brigade — Burnside Music Series

(8.16) Head downtown Thursday for a fun and free summer concert with the What Cheer! Brigade and Bellerophon.

Providence’s internationally famous marching band What Cheer? Brigade takes over the park and gets everyone moving. Local electronic music aficionado Mauricio Ossa and Bellerophon bandmates perform an opening set, layering drum machines, sweeping synthesizers and live guitar for a sound that is unmistakably his own. Danceable and dreamy.

This is a family friendly event. Everyone is welcome — must be 21+ to drink.

The Trinity Brewhouse beer garden opens at 4:30pm with live music starting around 5:30pm. Each week a different food truck is parked along Washington Street. (Facebook event.)

Free and open to the public, music starts 5:30pm, Thursday, August 16, Burnside Park, Kennedy Plaza, (directions)
