(8.16) Art abhors a vacuum and RISD students have kept this blank pillar well-papered. But on the third Thursday of every month eighteen of the city’s hottest “art spots” open their doors for a visual arts party. (Maybe this pillar should be on the tour.)

Another option is walking. Guides Melanie Ducharme and Elizabeth Keithline kick off the Walking Tour at 5:30pm. This includes the Providence City Hall Gallery, the Bank RI Turks Head Gallery, and the Paris Plus Friends Pop-Up on Westminster Street whose opening was quite the scene.
