‘View The Vault’ At Joukowsky

(4.26) Who doesn’t love a good vault. It’s not that museums keep their good stuff hidden away out of perversity, but they usually have more stuff than shelf space and some objects just don’t quite make the cut. The good people at Brown University’s Joukowsky Institute occasionally bring these hidden gems and oddities out for display and this Wednesday they invite the public in to View the Vault.

Come to the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology’s Open Collection Hours! Explore the Institute’s (hidden!) Collection of ancient ceramic vessels, lamps, figurines, lithics, sherds, and more. Expert docents will be on hand to answer questions.

Lithics and sherds?!!  Outside room 008.

Free and open to the public, 2pm to 5pm, Wednesday, April 26, Joukowsky Institute, Rhode Island Hall, 60 George Street, Main Green, Brown, (directions)
