(9.23) This Saturday’s Plant Walk is the one postponed from earlier due to the weather. Jeez what a summer. There are more plant walks on the schedule . . . fingers crossed. Organizers invite the public to join in this Saturday:
Join us for a walk in Roger Williams Park and learn how to identify plants and better understand urban ecology. From maple trees to mushrooms, you will gain a greater appreciation for the surprising diversity of urban wildlife. Binoculars are not required, but encouraged for animal sightings. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to travel just over a mile, sometimes off-trail.
Tickets: $3/person; free for museum members. No strollers or pets permitted. Meet up at the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium and give yourself time to visit the museum after the walk. It’s a Dose favorite.
Upcoming plant walks: October 21, November 11, and December 16.
10am to 11am, Saturday, September 23, Museum of Natural History, RWP, 1000 Elmwood Avenue, (directions)
