(11.25) The Wedding Cake House will be holding the first artist residency open house of the season this Monday and the public is invited. If you’ve never seen the interior of this glorious building, here’s your chance. Wandering around and taking it all in is its own reward — it’s like touring a wallpaper museum — but if you are working on your own abode, you may also get ideas.
4pm to 6pm — Open House: Wander around and meet the November Artists in Residence.
6pm to 7pm — Artist Presentations.
There are beautiful custom wallpapers, tile work, wall art, and light fixtures. Ever thought of painting your floor? The artists behind these amazing works are usually available for commissions.
Friends visiting from out of town? The Wedding Cake House is also a Bed and Breakfast.
Art in Ruins has the history of the building and its resurrection.
