(I just can not say ‘downcity’ sorry.) The Providence Art Festival, held in the past on Thayer Street, moves downtown to Westminster near Union Street this year. Check out painting, photography, sculpture, etc. by 85 local artists. The schedule for the music is as follows: 1pm Detroit Rebellion; 2pm Orca Beat; 3pm Alec K. Redfearn (he’s everywhere he’s everywhere); and at 4pm Triangle Forest, the electronica act with that astronomy guy. Also on hand, the Big Nazo Puppets and a gaggle of WBRU dj’s (gee, who’s more annoying . . . tough call).
