(How old do you have to be to get that reference?) The Peregrine Webcam is up and running once again, and the big news this year is that the nesting pair are both new to the Superman Building scene, and they are unbanded! Peter Green of Providence Raptors says nobody knows what happened to last year’s pair or who these interlopers are. (He doesn’t use words like ‘interloper.’ It really is more of a ‘Circle of Life’ thing . . . still.)
Mr. Green is an urban wildlife photographer living and working in and around Providence. You can follow him on Facebook. He is intimately involved in this operation — including annually donning a hardhat to help with the banding.
The Providence Peregrine Webcam is maintained by the Audubon Society of Rhode Island. Please consider making a donation.
